Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

1. Who we are

ScholarsPath is operated by Kingbo Corp. Holdings OÜ, a company registered in Estonia ("ScholarsPath," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you use scholarspath.site and related services (the "Service").

2. What data we collect

We collect: (a) account information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, nationality, academic background, degree level, field of study, GPA, English proficiency, destination preferences, budget, and career goals; (b) usage data, such as pages visited and features used within the Service; (c) payment information processed by PayPal when you subscribe to a paid plan — we do not store your full card or bank details ourselves, as PayPal handles that directly; and (d) communications you send us, such as support requests.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to: provide and personalize the Service, including scholarship matching and Fit Score calculations; process payments and manage subscriptions; communicate with you about your account, deadlines, and service updates; maintain the security and integrity of the Service; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal basis for processing (EU/EEA users)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process your data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the Service), consent (where you have given it, such as for optional communications), and legal obligation (where required by law).

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: service providers who help us operate the platform (Supabase for data storage and authentication, PayPal for payment processing), and authorities where required by law. Any scholarship or university information we display comes from publicly available official sources and does not involve sharing your personal data with those institutions unless you choose to apply directly through their official portal.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 8).

7. International data transfers

Kingbo Corp. Holdings OÜ is based in Estonia, within the European Union. Where data is processed by service providers located outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or the provider's own compliance with applicable data protection frameworks.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. EU/EEA users can find full details on our GDPR & Data Rights page. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for users who are at least 16 years old, or the applicable age of digital consent in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below this age.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
