Hosting
For an international student, the hardest part of studying abroad often isn't the coursework — it's the first night in a country where nothing is familiar. Host families change that.

Scholarships fund tuition. They rarely fund the harder, quieter problem: where a student actually lives, and whether the place they land feels like anywhere close to home. Dorms are impersonal or full. Private rentals require a local guarantor most international students don't have. ScholarsPath built Hosting to connect verified host families directly with incoming scholarship students — real housing, real community, and a level of trust that a listing site alone can't provide.

Not just a transaction — many host families describe it as one of the most rewarding parts of the arrangement.
Funds are held safely in escrow and released to you once the stay is confirmed, so neither side is exposed to risk.
You set your own availability, your price, your house rules, and who you're open to hosting.

Tell us about your home: location, room details, distance from major universities, languages spoken, and what kind of student you'd like to host.
A standard ID check, consistent with the platform's existing trust and safety requirements.
Photos of the space, and where possible, a short video walkthrough, to confirm it matches your listing.
A basic safety screening, since students — often arriving completely alone in a new country — are trusting you with their safety.
Your profile appears in the Hosting directory, and students can browse, message, and request to book.
After every stay, students rate their host family — building a track record that helps future students choose with confidence.
Host families can also rate the student they hosted. That reputation travels with the student, so other host families have a real, honest signal of who they're welcoming into their home.
When a student books a stay, payment is held in secure escrow rather than paid directly to you upfront. Once the stay is confirmed to have gone as agreed, funds are released according to an agreed split: you receive your host share, and ScholarsPath retains a modest platform fee to cover payment processing, dispute protection, and platform upkeep. Payouts are made to your PayPal account, and every stay's status, amount, and payout history stays visible in your Host Dashboard.
